Chicago Botanic garden proposal! Khushbu & Ronak

It was 13th of May in Chicago, IL. And it was such a nice and sunny day. Especially for Khushbu and Ronak since it was their engagement day. We just captured those very special emotions that they and their friends and family members felt on that special day.

Ronak decided to surprise his girlfriend with a proposal and he picked a perfect spot for that: Chicago Botanic Garden. The Chicago Botanic Garden is opened for more than 40 years as a beautiful place to visit, and it has matured into one of the world’s great living museums and conservation science centers. Almost one million people per year visit this place. But we really felt that Khushbu and Ronak were kind of special visitors of this Garden. He also invited dozen of friends to join them for a happy event.

We have talked to Ronak in detail about how we are going to surprise Khushbu. All of their friends who wanted to witness the proposal had to hide also. We actually had to hide in bushes so that she does not notice us. Luckily, the day was gorgeous and the Botanic garden was crowded. A lot of people were passing by so it was easier for us to hide.

When Ronak drop down on his knees and pull out a ring, Khushbu was genuinely surprised. We hope we managed to capture this beautiful moment. Surrounded by a multitude of beautiful diverse plants, they fit perfectly. A groom in a beautiful suit and tie on his knee puts a bridal ring to a young girl in a lovely blue dress. Modernly dressed in an environment that calms down and emphasizes their beauty. Our job was not difficult. All of us from WS photography team managed to capture their smiles that worked even more nicely in line with the beautiful nature. As they stood holding each other near The Waterfall garden we enjoyed in making photography that catches both its sound and its motion. Waterfall provided a lively contrast to the serenity of garden landscapes.

As they continued their walk as freshly engaged couple through The Chicago Botanic Garden we captured their walk through the Elizabeth Hubert Malott Japanese Garden. If you look closely the effect is evocative, as seamless as a traditional haiku. We finished this session on the Lakeside Gardens which form a changing tapestry of color, texture, and movement with serpentine curves, seasonal highlights, and a juxtaposition of sun and shade plantings.

A girl can’t ask for more perfect proposal than this one!

Congratulations to the happy couple!
